conditions of entry

German citizens need a visa since 01 February 2004 for the entry to Indonesia. The visa is given with the entry and costs 25, - USD for a stay up to thirty days (three-day-long stay costs 10, - USD), payable in USD. Euro can be exchanged, expenditure of the back money effected in Indonesian Rupiah. Payment with visa and Mastercard is possible. The Foreign Office guesses/advises to have for practical reasons the amount with the entry suitably in USD the order. An extension of the visa beyond 30 days is not possible. If a longer stay is planned, the visa before the entry must be requested. The passport must be still at least six months valid at the time of the entry to Indonesia. The German child document of identification is recognized only with photo, however the child document of identification can lead to further inquiries on the part of the Indonesian authorities. meals & drinking

The kitchen on Sahaung is mixes between European and Indonesian benefits. In the Indonesian kitchen the meals often taste after coconut, peanut or Chili. Many meals are strongly peppered. climate

Indonesia has tropical climate. The heat is moderated however by the Seewinde something. The average yearly temperature amounts to in for instance 27°C. Since the pre-aged islands are in the rain shade of the mountains of the mainland, also the rain time does not precipitate intensively. voltage

The Blue Bay Divers plant places 220 V alternating current, two-pole plugs. We operate the Resort with own generators and this are turned off, if they are not needed. That is, that on Sahaung river is not around the clock available. The current supply ensures however daily a loading of all Akkus and batteries.

currency and money

The Indonesian national currency is the Indonesian Rupie (Rp.). The import of foreign currency is unrestricted. We recommend the taking along of euro. Also money automats exist. Cash removal with credit cards as well as partly also with the EC-map and secret number is possible.
